Faith Promise Rally

Here are a few pictures from the recent Faith Promise Rally we had at  Pleasant Ridge Christian Church.

Justus meets Raccoons

Scrat the famous (or should it be infamous  :), raccoon, owned by the Greenwood family, was recently found alive afters months of thinking he was dead.  Yet, when they found him it was no longer a he, but a she.  Scrat had babies!  

Bill, Rachel, and Becca were on their way to relocate the new family and they stopped by our house to tell us the good news!  Justus was able to see a raccoon and by the look on his face, I think he is fascinated.  :)

Visiting

Justus was able to meet Grandma Lou and Shirley.

Jillian, Devin and Aryssa all enjoyed playing with Justus.

Aryssa's two year birthday cake became our one year anniversary cake too!

Pleasant Ridge Christian Church Prayer Walk

Here are a few pictures from the prayer walk at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church.  There were several stations set up with things to pray about that pertained to those stations.  It was an enjoyable experience.

You received a booklet at the beginning to give you ideas about what to pray for.

First Station-  "Be Still and Know that I am God."

Justus and the Cardinals Opening Day

Our Anniversary

Ryan surprised me with a wonderful anniversary trip.

We traveled to Oil Belt Christian Service Camp and reminisced about our wedding.

We even were able to go into the chapel!  

This was Justus' first time to be at Oil Belt.

We then traversed on to the Dairy Mart in Salem and got the same meal we did on our honeymoon and their lemon ice cream.

We stopped in Jonesboro, and saw a Lincoln/Douglas debate site and even got our pictures taken with them.  Hee!  Hee!

Taking the same path as we did on our honeymoon, we went to Anna, Illinois and stayed at the Davie School Inn.  What a fun anniversary trip!  

Ryan had a white rose waiting there for me, the same as he had one for me on the day of our wedding.

  The next day we went to Bald Knob and saw the Bald Knob Cross.

 Then on to The Little Grand Canyon!

Curious tree we found.  I still haven't been able to identify it yet.

You have to hike the entire trail to see the canyon part.  Justus slept in his sling the whole time we hiked.  What fun!

A tree fell over the path, so this is how they removed it.  How cool!

These plants were everywhere in this section.  Quite neat!

 On our way to Providence Prairie, we stopped by Jason and Brittany Ishmael's new house to see their baby girl.

On to Providence Prairie for the night, and then to home we go!
