Providence Prairie's Cabin

Here is a quick update in pictures how the progress is going on the cabin at Providence Prairie!  It is coming along nicely.  The work is all being done "authentically" and it has been a great experience.

Amanda's Birthday and Mother's Day

Mother's Day happened to fall on my birthday again this year.  It doesn't happen very often, but this one was really exciting since it was the first time it has happened since I became a Mommy!  What a joyous day celebrating life and more life!

Mommy and Justus

Mommy and her two blessings- Justus and Moriah

One of the gifts I received was a trash can that matches our palm tree bathroom decor.

We had a wonderful day!

Summer Haircut

Before the summer heat really hit, we decided it was time for Justus to get his first summer hair cut.  It was really going to change his looks, but I was ready to see our little boy with and adorable flat-top.  It turned out super handsome!
Justus sat so well

Finishing touches

Ahhhhh!!! What has Mommy done? :)

Oh yes, he is very proud if his new haircut.

Yay! A Fence!

It sure is nice to have a fence around the back yard now!  After we had purchased the supplies, we had a family day with my family and they all helped build the fence.  Well, the guys that is- I took all the girls to our Amish Store at Flat Rock.  We are enjoying an enclosed backyard- especially Justus because now he can go outside and play!

Watching Daddy Mow

Justus shared his love of watching Daddy mow with Moriah.  The two of them hung out on Mommy and Daddy's bed and watched out the window as the first mowing of the year took place.

How To Hang Laundry In Limited Space

The weather is getting warmer and that makes it perfect for hanging your laundry on the clothesline.  It saves money and makes your clothes smell so fresh.  Well, what do you do when there isn't enough clothesline at your house in town to hang up all of your clothes?  Here is a funny picture story of what a country girl does to find room to hang the clothes all up outside. :)  Enjoy the hilarity!

Our make-shift (small) clothesline- two t-posts and some rope. :)

Once the clothesline is full, you can use the shrubbery that needs trimming

It is perfect for hanging burp cloths and baby socks :)

Of course you use the drying rack and fill it up to overflowing

Tomato cages that are waiting to house new plants are a perfect place to hang
those last few things that wouldn't fit anywhere else. :)
