A Visit to Providence Prairie

We recently made a trip to Providence Prairie and Justus got to meet Great-Mamaw McDaniel (my grandma.)

 He also got to visit with all of the new babies on the farm!

Visit with the Hutchinsons

The Hutchinson Family recently visited us for a mushroom fry, food, fellowship, and homemade ice cream!

Briley ate the paddle- the best part :)

Good girl Briley!  She drank the melted ice cream!  Yum!

 We had a good time visiting with all of them!

Justus had fun too! 

Yard Work and Mushrooms

  We finally needed to mow our lawn as the grass has outgrown the gorgeous violets that covered our yard this spring.

We then tilled up a space for our garden.  We can't wait until it is time to plant!

Mushrooms and Pizza

After mushroom hunting one evening, we decided to try putting fried mushrooms on a pizza.  

 We ordered a pizza from Pizza House and then put our fried mushrooms on it.  

It was really good!  Ryan had wanted to try that for several years and so we did!  

It was a delicious experiment!

Justus Goes Mushroom Hunting

Justus found a mushroom for the first time on 4/12/11 (Grandpa Cox's Birthday!)  

 He even picked his own mushroom (with a little help from Daddy).

and so naturally grew that way.
