A Quiver Full

   "  Lo, children are a heritage of Jehovah;
 And the fruit of the womb is his reward.

As arrows in the hand of a mighty man,
 So are the children of youth.

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them:

They shall not be put to shame,
 When they speak with their enemies in the gate."
Psalm 127:3-5

We are happy to announce for those who haven't heard- we are beginning our quiver full of arrows!  Our estimated due date is January 25, 2011.  We are not finding out whether we are having a boy or girl- but waiting for the surprise of the moment.  When people ask us what we are having, Ryan's answer is generally the best we can give- "Well, we are hoping for a baby." :)

I felt it move or rather flutter, for the first time on the 25th of August.  What a wonderful feeling.  Since then I have felt it many times, some in the middle of the night.  Baby is feeling active when Mommy is trying to sleep. :)  Our God is an awesome God!

We do have names picked out though, although it took us a long time to find the perfect ones.  Proverbs 22:1 says- "a good name is more desirable than great riches."   But after much searching and perusing, we finally figured it all out.

If our baby is a boy, then his name will be: Justus William Cox.  Justus was mentioned in the Bible in three different instances and means- the quality of being just; righteousness, equitableness, or moral rightness: to uphold the justice of a cause.  And William means- provider.  So together his name would mean- the provider of justness and fairness.

If our baby is a girl, then her name will be: Moriah Kay Cox.  Moriah was the mount where Abraham took Isaac to sacrifice him, where the temple stood, and where Jesus was crucified.  Moriah means- taught by God and Kay means- rejoicing.  So her name would mean- rejoicing to be taught by God the Father.

How exciting it is to be starting a family of our own.  May He bless us with ever so many more arrows and fill our quiver for His glory!

  1. Congratulations again and again! May God bless our little arrow that found itself hitting the mark of the Maker right where you find yourself. Keep serving our Lord and Savior!

    Love always,
